Chris is the founder of Bridge the Gap TV which inspires youth from the developing world and fosters cross-cultural understanding. Recently, Chris filmed a series of episodes on the Pine Ridge Sioux reservation in South Dakota. He plans to use this micro-grant to screen this series on the reservation and in high-schools in South Dakota. Read more

Felix Nyakatale, 30, Bagamoyo, Tanzania
Vision plan: To establish the School of Tanzanian Cuisines (STC) in Bagamoyo and help the students gain the skills necessary to obtain jobs in the hospitality and hotel industry. The restaurant will feature Tanzanian cuisine and help students meet international standards in the hospitality and hotel industry.

Amma Agyapon, 27, Brooklyn, New York
Vision plan: To organize a multi-media event in her community that will raise awareness of the Lukumi culture and religion, the Egbe Iwa organization, and its rites passage program. “I’m especially excited about receiving a year’s worth of mentorship. Shawn Crosby, 19, Cleveland, Ohio
Vision plan: To establish the American Children’s Organization (TACO), a non profit that promotes post secondary education and professional career opportunities for teens, plans to launch two entrepreneurial programs at the center for teenagers. "My vision is bigger than me, so I know I'm going to need some help to get it off the ground,” he said.
