On April 5th, 2007, MCW launched Jacqueline’s Human Rights Corner on the occasion of the 13th Anniversary of the Genocide. More than 150 guests, including MCW Board Members and Advisors andrepresentatives from the diplomatic community, private and public sectors, and universities came together at New York University to learn about the 1994 Rwanda genocide from panelists such as Ambassador Joseph Nsengiman, Permanent Representative of Rwanda to the UN, Dr. Yael Danieli, Clinical Psychologist and Traumatologist, Dr. Starr A. Wood, Assistant Professor at SUNY Albany School of Social Welfare, Eugenie Mukeshimana, Rwanda Genocide Survivor, and Jacqueline Murekatete, Rwanda Genocide survivor. MCW Board Member Anna Condoulis opened the event and MCW Advisor Kymberli Stewart served as the moderator.
